I believe the biggest challenge we all face is our self-talk, our inner narration.
Time and time again we catch ourselves feeding our negative thoughts and words with our beliefs. It truly is the most difficult thing to change the way we see our lives, maybe ourselves and others.
For this reason, I am dedicating an entire post to this topic. This is a practice that truly will be lifelong and will offer you the simple most powerful benefit, not a positive mindset but a healthy one. I believe achieving a purely positive mindset is not possible due to the highs and lows in life. Life is made up of highs and lows but our power and our health lies within how we perceive and react to the challenges in our lives. Pain, uncertainty, and joy; you cannot have one without the other in this life so we must accept each and every event, emotion and feat with grace and understanding.
There is a reason people pray, people meditate, people practice gratitude or daily affirmations. It demonstrates an understanding for the ebs and flows, an appreciation for healthy detachment for that which we cannot control and mindful intention behind our every breath.
As we conclude this fall season and head into winter, many people will feel anxious, uncomfortable, and may even experience seasonal depression due to the lack of light and warmth. As we wrap up our challenge I want to be able to offer you a tool to recognize and acknowledge your daily emotions, struggles, happiness and achievements.
